The sequel to 2019’s Shazam!, Fury of the Gods sees Billy Batson and his superpowered siblings once again take on an ancient evil in the form of Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu! Described by director David F. Sandberg as a “mini-Avengers movie”, Fury of the Gods features a huge cast of characters — a tough balancing act in any film!
So does DC’s latest turn a teenage team-up into a successful sequel, or is this last gasp of the DC Universe more of a yawn?
