This week on Classic Movies Live!, our hosts talk about a new Pixar movie for the first time since Onward!
A sequel to the 2015 instant-classic about the emotional inner life of a young girl, Inside Out 2 introduces new emotions as Riley goes through puberty. During a weekend at hockey camp in her summer before high school, Riley’s head is hijacked by new emotion Anxiety (Maya Hawke), whose crew of more complex emotions including Envy, Ennui, and Embarrassment, quickly supplants Joy, Anger, Sadness, Fear, and Disgust.
The new characters have notable parallels to the existing ones, the journey through Riley’s head mirrors that from the first movie, but that said, is Inside Out 2 just more of the same?
