In the last week of her summer vacation before she moves to Toronto to attend U of T, Elliot (Maisy Stella) takes mushrooms with her friends and meets her future self (Aubrey Plaza). But the kicker? After she’s sobered up the next morning, she can still contact her future self over the phone under the contact “My Old Ass”.
My Old Ass explores ideas we’ve all thought about: if you could talk to your younger self, what would you say? If your older self told you something, how seriously would you take it? Can you change the past at all, because if not, does any of that even matter? These questions are all at the centre of My Old Ass, a deceptively touching coming of age movie.
