Kickin’ It With Kendrick, Episode 25: The Day Shall Come
June 24, 2022The day shall come when there are multiple podcasts on Spotify devoted to the filmography of Anna Kendrick, but for now, Kickin’ It With Kendrick is the only one!
In today’s episode, Pierre and Jeff are joined by Calum Macnab of Scaretroducing to discuss Chris Morris’ second film, and Anna Kendrick’s thirty-sixth!
“Based on 100 true stories”, The Day Shall Come is a darkly comedic look at governmental overreach in the post-9/11 world. In need of rent money, impoverished preacher Moses Al Shabazz (Marchant Davis) turns to a wealthy contact with ties to Al-Quaeda. Unbeknownst to Al Shabazz, that contact is actually an FBI plant under the command of an overly ambitious anti-terror agent (Anna Kendrick).
