Anytime Chris Nolan has a new movie out, it’s guaranteed to be the blockbuster event of the summer, and 2026 is no different! When last our hosts took on a Nolan movie, it was 2023’s Oppenheimer. Now it’s time for something of a spiritual sequel, a thematic twin, if you will: The Odyssey!
Based on one of the greatest stories ever told, the epic poem by Homer, The Odyssey tells the story of Odysseus, the wiliest of all the Greeks at Troy, on his 10 year journey to return to his kingdom of Ithaca. Starring Matt Damon as Odysseus, Anne Hathaway as his loyal wife Penelope, and Tom Holland as his inexperienced son Telemachus, The Odyssey puts a distinctly modern spin on the 2700-year-old myth that could only be made by the man who directed Tenet.
